Thunderbolts

Over a period of time I have had a few discussions about my ideas on the Thunderbolts Forum. It is always fun as there are many inquisitive minds there.

At present several discussions are proceeding, on the subject of solar system formation and arrangement and about electrical forces there. Also supergalactic cluster waves and corresponding geological cycles.

Ray, have you done any work on JM Hurst style cyclic analysis and Elliott Wave Theory (I have seen some of your comments on David Hicksons forum), I am trying to join the dots here. Also, have you written on the causes of cyclic variation in financial markets? Thanks. All the best, Chris

Hi Chris, the cycles used by Hurst are quite similar to those found by Edward Dewey. These are summarized in his paper "The Case for Cycles" available at http://www.cyclesresearchinstitute.org/dewey/case_for_cycles.pdf

I found that Elliott Wave theory would work if cycles were related by periods in the ratios 1:4.236 but in fact they are related by 1:4:16 etc. That Elliott has a slight mistake in his counting scheme was also confirmed by Ric Ingram and published by FSC.

I think that the ultimate cause of all cycles is the same - the universal vibrations. But particular cycles get amplified because of resonances with natural systems. If human population is involved then the feedback effect takes a generation each way leading to the Kondratieff cycle of 53 years. The exact period comes from the nearest universal cycle to the resonance time. For markets this varies, being say 6 years for sugar, 3.4 years for stock markets etc.

Blog of Ray Tomes research on cycles, news reports on cycles, my original research on the Harmonics Theory and discussion of these matters.

There are cycles in everything. There are cycles in the weather, the economy, the sun, wars, geological formations, atomic vibrations, climate, human moods, the motions of the planets, populations of animals, the occurrence of diseases, the prices of commodities and shares and the large scale structure of the universe. None of these are independent of each other.

Research shows that very different disciplines often find the same cycle periods in their data. The inter-relatedness of all things is an idea who's time has come. The study of cycles is an excellent way to understand this because the periods of cycles are as easy to recognise as fingerprints or DNA sequences.

"The universe, believe it or not, is nothing other than a giant musical instrument with a very special but predictable pattern of harmonically related oscillations which determine the structure of everything from galactic clusters to subatomic particles and we are just parts of the various vibration modes."

The single axiom of the Harmonics Theory is that:

The Universe consists of a standing wave which develops harmonically related standing waves and each of these does the same.
